Sword Strike Noir?

Doesn't it look a bit like Destiny Gundam...?!

GAT-X105E+AQM/E-X09S Strike Noir/ Sword Strike-E

My second model kit from the Seed line, because this is one good piece of mecha model kit! It's overall design is much more different then those in the Seed and Seed Destiny series, and it is a Master Grade kit, that's why I got it! And fair enough, the Sword Striker pack has been used for the Sword Strike-E design, with quite some customization and adjustments to make it fit. The yellow color had significantly different tones from the shoulders, Noir striker pack and the antennae, as the idea is to emphasize on the yellow colors on the shoulder pads and the Noir striker pack instead. Let's see what has been done :

1. Arms
The usual detailing is done on the black and grey areas of the shoulder pads. The top part of the shoulder needs to be puttied as there is an obvious seam line to cover. The forearms each had additional plastic sheet added before the elbow for detailing and to give the uneven and armored look, to make it a stronger feel. Each elbow also had two small strips of plastic sheet added on each side of each elbow.

2. Body
The detailing done is similar to the details done on hyakushiki, by adding thick pieces on each side of the chest, and also an additional small rectangular piece added on top of each side for a better detailed look. The centre part only had the upper area painted black instead of the whole area, so as to give it a feel of the chest being separate from the abdomen. The sides of the abdomen also had a small plastic sheet stuck on each side.

3. Groin
The front skirt armor had additional plastic sheets added on the upper area of each side, to give it an extra armor and flexible look. (Besides, that areas look weirdly plain anyway...)

4. Legs
Plastic sheet has been added on each side of both calves, so that is a more detailed look, like how the Perfect Grade Strike Gundam is. It is based on its idea, so it does not totally copy the design of the Perfect Grade Strike. Plastic sheet has also been added on each side of each knee also for detailing. As for the top part, a thicker rectangular plastic piece is added for detailing also.

5. Weapons
Noir Striker: The MR-Q10 "Fragarach" 3 Beam Blades are each sharpened at the end. The original version is very round and blunt, which doesnt give the feel of how a sword should be like. Sword Striker Pack: For the Sword Pack, the backpack needed to change the pin connector to enable it to be mounted on Strike-E. Thus, I removed the round connector and used plastic sheets to be cemented on the pack to the correct thickness before it can be mounted on. For the "Panzer Eisen" Rocket Anchor, the beam boomerang has to been on it, given the guidelines of the Sword Strike-E, so I had to cut away the connector used for the shoulder pad and stuck on top of the "Panzer Eisen" in order for the boomerang to be mounted on top of it. The "Schwert Gewehr" Anti-Ship Sword has been retained its design, only a lot of seam lines need to be covered. The Sword Striker color scheme has been darkened so that it matches the overall color design on Strike Noir, which means "Black" in chinese.

Below are the paint I have used for this kit:

Tamiya

1. Gloss Red

2. Flat White

3. Light Grey

4. Flat Yellow

5. Chrome Silver

6. Flat Black

Tamiya Basic Putty was used for the covering of seam lines and a 0.1 pen used for panel lines. The dark silver color was done by mixing chrome silver with flat black, and the Ash Greyish color was done by mixing flat white and light grey.
