RX-121-1A Hazel Rha
1/144 RX-121-1A Hazel Custom + FF-X29A G-Parts Hurudu
Another kit hot from my room's oven, the Hazel Rha. Well, a 1/144 kit was an exceptionally
challenging kit, especially when I have to cover a lot of seam lines and do some adjustments to certain area. For it to be
painted easily, I have to do the ways where Dengeki Magazine taught how to remove every part and a more different way to assemble
but easier to paint. The overall kit was excellent, if you decide to build it directly without painting it. Only some areas
need to be joined together, but if you know how to make it into panel lines, the kit can be made without painting it at all.
I did little customization to the kit, with little detailing here and there, as you can see from the pictures. I added additional
plastic pieces onto the forearms, hurudu, and the leg vernian thrusters areas. The part of the shoulder where its facing to
the body had been changed. It was puttied to until there is no 'hole' and added plastic pieces for detailing. The main thing
about the kit is the paint. I managed to get the closest tone of grey by mixing as little grey as possible with a lot of white.
That is the closest I can get for the grey tone, can't do anything about it anymore. All the green areas were done with the
stickers from the kit, only the eyes were painted with green. Compared to my previous Hazel, this is definitely a great leap
forward, with necessary touches to make it different from the normal hazel custom. Ok, just a little bit different :)
