RX-93 Nu Gundam ---> A Nu Generation
1/100 Master Grade RX-93 Nu Gundam
2006 BAKUC Entry
This is one of the most memorable Gundam in Universal Century History, the Gundam that saw the defeat
of Char Aznable and the saviour of Earth by Amuro Ray, and also the end of the fight between them. Definitely one of the most
famous mechas to true blue Gundam fans. It is an interesting kit with die cast metal parts to make the mecha stable even with
the fin funnels on it (although I intend to change the fin funnels to particle cannons instead which I totally have no idea
on that yet). It took me quite a long while to finish it as I had to do the akatsuki for the seed destiny competition, so
thus the very long delay. But well, finally, this mecha is done up. The whole mecha is not very proportionate in my eyes,
especially the biceps and the waist. Let's hope I can get something out of this year's Bandai Action Kits Universal
Cup competition with this fella. I did quite a lot of detailing to it, so I will introduce every part I have changed:
1. Head
I changed the ventilation holes of the mecha at the side of the head. Everything was removed, and I used plastic sheets
that are cut out and fitted into the hole. The end of the head was shortened and I added a little detail to it.
2. Arms
The biceps were first puttied to level with the upper arm, but later something wetn wrong and it appeared like shit,
so I had to further increase the volume of the biceps by making it look as though additional armor is added to by sticking
on plastic sheets on the biceps and add a little bit of detailing. The right forearm has been changed by carving 2 lines on
it and adding some minor details on it as it looked too plain. The left forearm was sanded to look more sharp and minor detail
added at the end of the forearm.
3.Upper Torso
I added plastic sheets to some area to make it looked more detailed. The white part of the chest had a piece of plastic
sheet stick onto it. The waist was shrunk to smaller waistline as he appeared a little too 'fat' if I left it as it was. Details
were added to the skirt armor, both in front and behind.
4. Leg
The shin area had been sanded to have a sharp feeling instead of its original round design. Details were added to numerous
areas, even to the booster at the calf. The feet was changed. The white part of the feet was removed, leaving the area near
the shin armor. That part was cut out. The booster at the feet has detail added just like how I added on the calf booster.
5. Shield
Detail has been added to the shield to make it look detailed, but somehow it has turned out to look as though it is a
dragon knight shield, making it look a little over, but still the overall look is still ok. The lower end of the shield has
been sharpened.

2. Gloss Red
3. Semi Gloss Black

customizing to it.
